This beautiful Georgian cruet set has 6 bottles with one jam pot with a later silver spoon by Robert Wallis. The basket is about 8.25 wide x 5” deep x 10” tall. Wood bottom most likely walnut. The bottles are all hallmarked with Chesterman’s marks and the only thing replaced is the jam spoon. Some minor repairs and chipped glass and one bottle has an old bottom crack/hairline. Not bad for a 218 year piece! Imagine the conversations that took place over this fabulous set over the last 200 plus years! The front of the set has a monogrammed “F” in the cartouche, the back one does not.The taller bottles are about 8" tall, the shaker bottles with the cute urn finials are about 6.5" tall and the smaller bottles (one with spoon) are about 5 3/8" tall to top of stoppers. The jam jar is about 4 5/8" tall x 2 3/8" wide.Condition: considering this set is 218 years old, there are some issues. A couple of minor solder repairs to a jar handle and the small band that goes around the middle is loose, it droops. Some of the stopper has nicks and chips. One of the small slim jars has a small sliver of glass missing on bottom, with a small hairline on the base side. Still functional and will not leak. One of the shaker bottles has a chipped partial top which is not seen when silver cap is on. Minor dings and pin pings to the basket to be expected. The silver handle in the center has a small repair on the stem and the metal is a little discolored. That said, not bad overall considering the age and still totally functional or great just to display on a sideboard or center of a dining table. The whole set measures 3 lbs 15 oz which includes the glass and wood bottom. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when bidding. **International Buyers Please Note: We will not falsify customs declarations or mark an item as a "gift".
