Description: Antique porcelain basket by John Ridgway of Cauldon Place, imported by Richard Briggs of Boston, I think it dates to the 1830-1850 period based on the backstamps. Oval basket has a flat bottom and scalloped rim with open, wave-like sides and a double porcelain handle, about 8 inches long, 5 inches across, and 3 inches high. Base is decorated with a gilded net pattern and yellow and purple pansies, and the sides and rim are trimmed in gold. Overall an unusual and rare piece in excellent condition. See pictures. Will ship USPS, well packed, within 2 days. See my eBay store for lots more interesting antique items. I offer discounts for combined shipping. Thanks for looking!
