18" Kathe Kruse Slim Hip Three Seam Boy Doll 1, A/O Tyrolean Outfit

Description: Here's a sweet 18" Kathe Kruse slim hipped boy doll with the three seam Doll 1 head, dressed in his original German folk costume. He's an all cloth doll with a firmly stuffed body, a pressed and oil painted rigid cloth head, tab jointed arms and disk jointed hips. He has brown hair with his forelock and side curls artfully painted. His head has been black lighted and there are no restorations or repaint on the face. He has stitched toes and the number 320424 on his left foot sole. His body has some age discoloration but no tears, repairs, fading or fraying of fingers or toes. For some reason his legs were painted, perhaps to conceal some deeper staining, in a shade that matches his facial coloring. He wears his original Tyrolean costume including wool felt lederhosen with embroidered flower decorations. One small round button is missing but the suspender strap is held to his pants with a concealed safety pin. His cream colored shirt is buttoned down the front with a red print tie at the neck. There are no holes or fading to his outfit. Underneath he wears an all-in-one that has two holes, one in front , one in back, shown in my photos. One stocking has a small hole hidden by his shoe. The green wool felt shoes, while perfect on top, have moth holes on the soles. His green felt hat has one hard to pinhole. In all, he's in wonderful condition for a cloth doll from the 1930s.
