Description: Offered is the antique soft cover book "Proceedings of the Seventeenth Annual Session of the State Literary and Historical Association of North Carolina", which took place in Raleigh on December 5-6, 1916 (see photo #3 for contents). The book was printed in Raleigh in 1917 by the state printers, the Edwards & Broughton Printing Co. This is a rare, possibly unique find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The book is approx. 9" x 6" and contains 95 pages. It is in good condition for a soft cover book of its age. The cover has no tears, but has some areas that have browned and there is a small amount of surface residue (it looks like old glue) on the spine and on the front cover near the spine. There is also some light surface wear in the same areas. I see no torn or missing pages and all are well-attached to the cover. The pages have yellowed but are otherwise generally clean and clear, with only occasional spotting. I see no writing in the book except for occasional light pencil marks. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
