Description: 17th-18th century bronze pewter spoon mold, inscribed Robert Lucas, see pic #4. Very good condition with expected wear and some dings on outside of bowl. Two piece mold is heavy, fits well with nice tight seam. Makes a 7-1/2" spoon. There was a Robert Lucas who was Master of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers in 1667, the year following the Great Fire of London. His touch was re-struck as No. 1 on the new London Touch Plate which replaced those lost in the fire. This piece may or may not be related to him.
