In fair condition. Moderate wear to extremities with heavy rubbing to corners and edges. Loss of leather at edges and corners. Leather desiccated and scratched. Spine abraded with loss at head and tail. Heavy rubbing and tired in appearance. Loss at bottom of pages 77-78 in first volume. Loss bottom margin and a few lines of text on pages 83-84 in volume one. Fly is detached with old hand ownerships of Ada Linn and James W. Craven. This was probably Adam Linn (1760-1810) born in Bedford, Westmoreland, PA. Damp stain and age staining throughout. Doodles on pastedowns. Binding intact. Please see photos. The first Philadelphia edition was likely 1791, this is the second. James Hervey (1714-1758) was an English clergyman and writer. RAREA1795ABCN
