First edition. The Topographer was a monthly publication that began in 1789. In this volume we have the issues for January to June 1791 covering many areas of the country, selecting numerous buildings and places of interest. There are 42 b/w plates showing 51 illustrations.Half bound tan leather on marbled hardboards. Minor marks on the boards with front board, prelim and Title-page detached. Five raised bands with gilt lettering on the spine. Rough cut pages. Bookplate on the front endpaper. Light foxing to pages. All pages are firm and the book is in very good condition. Part I: 14 pages.
