Description: 1790 One Pound Connecticut Comptroller's Office Colonial Currency Note, war bond. Antique Connecticut 1 pound payment note issued by comptroller Ralph Pomeroy, to William Woodbridge on Feb. 7, 1790. The center cancelation is a star pattern of slashes that result in less loss then typically seen, as many were canceled with a round punch. This piece comes from a high end estate of ephemera in the Portland Maine area. Roughly 7x 3.75 inches. This item is ungraded and being sold as found from a Maine estate. See photos.
