Description: YOU ARE BIDDING ON 1765 SPAIN CARLOS III MARRIAGE OF CARLOS IV & MARIA LOUISE SILVER MEDAL NGC AU-58 Molinari-356. By Tomás Francisco Prieto. Diameter: 49mm. Obverse: Draped bust of Carlos III right, perimeter legend, signature below bust; Reverse: Conjoined busts of Carlos (future Carlos IV) and Marie Louise right, perimeter legend, legend and date in exergue below. Marie Louise of Parma was Carlos' first cousin and became somewhat unpopular due to her influence over Carlos who only reluctantly dealt with affairs of state. They had 14 children, only half of whom would survive into adulthood. This medal exhibits only the lightest wear on the high points of the hair on both the obverse and reverse. Subtly reflective surfaces display light golden toning in the protected areas. Attractive and historic.
