Description: This is a really good tea caddy made in London in 1741 by well known caddy maker John Newton. It is in very good condition, the hallmarks are good date letter, partly rubbed maker but you can clearly see the distinctive N in script for Newton, he specialised in tea caddies. It has a nice sliding top and pull off cap, it is 12.cms high and weighs 230 grams. A fine mid 18th century tea caddy
