Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. Modelcollect is a relative newcomer to the model world but has established a fabulous reputation for innovation and quality. They initially produced some small scale finished models and later branched out into kits and larger scales. Luckily for us, they have also produced some unique subjects never available before. This interesting kit falls into that category. The Schwerer (Heavy) Plattformwagen series of railcars was developed to transport German tanks, like the Panther and Tiger. This kit covers the Type SSys and Modelcollect has provided a pair of these in 1/72 scale in this special 1 + 1 Pack. This pack allows you to show off several of your factory fresh (or battle worn) armor heading someplace important. I found almost a dozen eBay listings for this kit (all from overseas), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have it in stock and can reliably ship this kit to you very quickly. Here is what I have learned about this very modern kit: The Modelcollect website has a detailed page for this kit that shows the box art and the complete full-color 6-page instruction set and painting guide, showing the parts layout and easy assembly. From other sources, I have found the following information about their kit: · 1/72 scale model kit of a heavy flatbed railcar for transporting German WWII armor. · Cartograf decal· Easy and simple assembly. Scalemates.com shows that this is a new tool from 2018. They show the box art and give us a few links to reviews and references to help get the details right. Volker Helms did a photo-laden In-Box Review also on the German-language ipmsdeutschland.de site. We get close ups of each of the sprues and the Cartograf decals. He loved the kit but had issues with the wording of some of the decals. His bottom line was: “This wagon of the type SSys in 1/72 by Modelcollect is quite well made but the lettering is incorrect.” This kit is in a nice, sturdy box about 10.5” x 6.5” x 2”, decorated with a railyard scene. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with two tape strips (these were never shrink wrapped from the factory), so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains two complete injection molded plastic model kits with over 120 detailed plastic parts and a small sheet of Cartograf decals for each railcar and a 6-page full color instruction sheet and painting guide.
