This coin is one of the rarest Papal States Piastras in existence, one which we can find less than 10 records for. The reverse depicts the Pope enthroned, facing right, in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore. The obverse depicts the Pontif at the time. A VF example sold on Vcoins for $1275. That coin had slight damage, in the form of a small dig on the bust and one on the reverse as well. If our coin was not damaged, it would be a $2500+ coin.
