1700s REVOLUTIONARY WAR era Antique Primitive Alcohol COPPER STILL Kettle Jug

Description: I have more unique and collectible items listed. I will combine shipping. Here is a very cool antique handmade copper still jug. From what I've researched, this is from the late 1700s to early 1800s. This is what I found online: Revolutionary War era small portable copper still. These stills are still described in the "Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution" by G. Neumann and F. Kravic, p. 103: "apparently the mash was added and slung on the back of, or carried, in a wagon where the motion during the day hastened its fermentation. In the evening the stopper was removed and wooden plug with a hole inserted. A copper coil was then entered into the hole and the whole unit placed in a fire. As the distillation began, a cup would catch the daily yield of alcohol." The darker copper is due to a tin alloy in the metal. Rare. Circa 1750-1780.
