Concludes with the old lady picking the harvest before the plant is destroyed by gardeners and taking the stringbean seeds home to start a new plant., A story without narration of an aged Parisian seamstress who plants a string bean plant she has raised at home in the Jardin de Tuilleries, only to have the park caretaker pull it out.
