He was born in Bar-sur-Seine, in the modern-day department of Aube, France. He initially trained as a doctor; but after his conversion to Catholicism, became the personal historiographer to Henry III of France. After his death, his works were printed by his son, Nicolas Vignier Jr. This is an incredibly scarce work on the history of the church, from Jesus Christ's baptism until the fifteenth century. A complete work. Perfect candidate for restoration. RAREE1601DTVQ01/24 - HK1093
