Description: Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a woman wearing hand-painted gold earrings and brooch, with her hands folded in her lap. Pinned to the mat is a curl of blonde hair. In its full case that is 3.75" x 3.25" when closed. Original, unbroken paper seals. The covers of the case are separated along the spine. The backdrop is dark and the underside of the glass could use a cleaning, but the dag appears to be in overall very good antique condition.. there is a small ding in the background to the left of her shoulder.
