Description: Little blond boy seated in a child's size Shaker Style ladder back rush chair. 1/6 daguerreotype in very good or better antique condition. Looks like he’s holding a closed MOP case. The curl of hair was likely, but not necessarily his; if this portrait was taken for memorial purposes, the hair might have belonged to a deceased sibling whose portrait he is holding inside of that MOP case. He looks pretty sad/unhappy as well... The hair was found in the case behind the dag, and I will place it back there before shipping.
