The following day on May 3 Dave Ulmer placed "the first stash hunt stash" and posted the coordinates on the internet. The groundwork was laid, and geocaching was born. On the weekend of May 3, 2015 geocaching events took place in various places around the world to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the first cache. A group coin was made for the occasion; this is one of two versions for Nova Scotia. This geocoin is a big 2" in size, has translucent enamel revealing sub-enamel details in the metal, and it has two pieces! The shiny plate on the back is held in place by a magnet and can be detached. This coin is new in a coin flap and is trackable on Geocaching.com with the icon below.
