This is primarily valued in the landscape or garden for its cascading habit of growth. It has attractive green deciduous foliage.The small deeply cut lobed palmate leaves are highly ornamental and turn outstanding shades of yellow, orange and crimson in the fall. Much like Viridis or Waterfall, ( which I also have for sale ) ,this is a weeping green dissected-leafed cultivar which will get wider than it will tall. Height : 10 ft. Width : 10 ft. US hardy Zone : 5b to 9a Medicinal use : None known Edible parts of Japanese Maple: The sap contains a certain amount of sugar and can either be used as a drink, or can be concentrated into a syrup by boiling off the water.
