Description: These seeds are from a plant growing at my orchard. This plant is slow growing bush and can eventually reach 10 feet in height and after many years. Usually it will remain less than 7 feet. The plant is native to Brazil. This tree is a true dwarf form.It will start producing fruit at the height of 2-3 feet or so, about 2-3 years under good conditions. The fruit is just like a regular guavas when it comes to the taste but it has it's own advantages: -The fruit season is pretty long for a Guava (August-December in Israel) and it can flower multiple times every year. -The plant is small compared to regular guava and can be grown in containers. The fruit is eaten when soft and after the skin turned from dark green to light green. A fully Grown plant can bear 100's of fruits every year, a younger one will produce less.Growing: This plant is hardy to about 28F, and will stop growth when temperature is less than 55F. It requires good Drainage for best growth and need full sun for best fruit production. This plant likes lots of water year round.
