Description: A ring to knock your socks off! A lovely piece to wear at the office or for a cocktail party! This lovely piece was purchased in Chicago on a buying trip (for our shop) in about 1978 or 79. The bamboo style birdcage mount holds a cluster of firey multicolored natural Opals from the Welo area of Ethiopia. I had several of the prong tips, re-tipped by a fine Jewler. The benchwork is very nice and the opals have lovely iridescence. Ring is size 6. The band width is 1.7-2.8 mm and is quite heavy. The approx. size of the face is 15.4mm x 14.7mm. and the oval gems are approx. 5.2 x 4.6mm. Overall weight is 5.5gm. NO box. Please ask if you have any questions.
