$14K LARGE CROCODILE LANA MARKS JET TOTE "TESTA MORO" BROWN

Description: I always get dressed up to go to the airport. I do when I'm going into any kind of court (not recently!), but it's a different type of dressing when you're flying. I've been given so many upgrades when I travel just by showing up and doing a comfortable-yet-couture thing. I don't exactly wear Chanel while traveling, but I do wear St. John and jeans. I go for noticeably sharp, and I hate to sound obnoxious, this Lana Marks crocodile Jet Tote in dark, dark "Testa Moro" brown, is going to make the wait staff at any establishment you visit stand up and take notice.Are you famous? Do you want to look famous? Do you want to look like an old-school, Princess Di, got-the-money-through-generations, maybe inherited from mom or grandmother (good genes and money!) woman?This'll do it. This Lana Marks Jet Tote, which retails for around $14K, will do it.This is where you put your stuff; other people are carrying the real stuff. This ole thing won't carry more than a bit of lingerie and bottles, so I think it'd be ideal for a working girl.Or an attorney. There's just enough room to pack a nice lunch for a tough day in court. (Gee, why do I have "court" on my mind...??!!)You could carry papers, or maybe a book or two, but that's about it, so careful, academics...this might not be for you. The buyer could be a woman, for example, who is the assistant of a powerful, famous woman. The ideal thing would be for that famous, powerful woman to say to herself, about her assistant: She's been great this year, and she did admire Mrs. So-and-So's bag...I will buy it for her...a surprise!So all you boss ladies, this would be a lovely way to give your assistant instant status!Okay, sorry, long day!This is a large Lana Marks Jet Tote in "Testa Moro" (translated, I believe, as "head of Moor") brown, which is a very dark brown, but brown nonetheless. I have a number of Jet Totes and it is my go-to day bag. I wish there was an outside pocket, but, I guess you can't have everything!14.5x10.5x6.I have the key and the lock and the clochette. Beautiful brass-finished hardware. The skins are bright and shining bravely, and I bet, in the hands of a skilled exotic skin cobbler, they could shine like new. This is weird lighting, so please trust me when I say there are no cloudy areas...it's the light, not the skins. No flaws to report. No rips, tears, scrapes, scratches. Anywhere.Bottom is excellent. Sides and corners are excellent. Such little news about condition that I've forgotten if I saw anything and I dread looking again. Oh! There is a little wear at the magnetic pocket areas inside the two side pockets. The thing to remember here is INSIDE. Unless you point it out...no one will ever see it! That teeny bit of wear is pretty much the only reason I know this Jet Tote has been worn.Since I do not have the shoulder strap, this is a "tote." However, I will say that if I ever find a shoulder strap, I will let this buyer know. and see if you're interested. I find parts and pieces all the time, so this is not farfetched.This is not a tote for roughhousing, sports events, the beach, or anyplace where it could get dirty, wet, spilled on...noooo! This is refined tote, for refined spaces, and not for the hoi poloi. Oh, you want the specs? Sorry, I got carried away.Okay. Large central zippered compartment. Zipper works smooth and easy. Brass plaque and zipper pull say "LANA MARKS MADE IN ITALY."The handles are in wonderful condition, but you can't overload these bags or they'll tank on you in a heartbeat. Side compartments close with magnetic...magnets...and close with authority. (They'd take your finger off if you weren't careful!)There are two leather-lined side pockets, and one features places for two bottles and the other features an open, crocodile-lined compartment (inside the pocket, if you get what I'm saying).This is one clean, sharp, successful bag, and it's going to take a smart woman who'll say, "Yup, that's where I am/that's where I aspire to be," and plus, "I'm so smart that I just saved enough money off retail for two first-class tickets to Paris!"Speaking of Paris...alas, I must restrict myself to shipping in the States.And never wear this in the airport. Ever!
