Description: This stunning 14kt yellow gold antique festoon necklace has three deep purple sparkly teardrop amethysts set in gold cones hanging from three round amethysts. The center amethyst drop has a seed pearl between it and the round amethyst. The stones are connected with thin gold chain with seed pearls. It dates from the Edwardian or Art Deco Era. As I am not a jeweler, I lack the appropriate language to describe the multifaceted cut of the pendants and the round stones. I also have as unable to adequately capture their sparkle. I received the necklace as a gift from my parents many years ago. It has been acid tested as 14kt gold. The necklace is 15 inches long and closes with a plunger clasp.
