It will hold a 1/4 pound cube of rectangular butter. It measures 8 3/4" x 4 1/8" and weighs 10.7 ounces. The butter holding portion measures 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" The pattern on shiny silver is a raised silver floral with a black background appearing on lid top, knob, and tray border.
