It contains all non-error printing varieties of Scott number 1278 Thomas Jefferson. The tagged and gummed singles are perforated 11 x 10½. The stamps are from the Prominent Americans sheet issue, which ran from 1965 to 1979. The green colored stamps were issued in panes of 100 and in vending booklets. The rotary press stamps are tagged. The pane position of the booklet stamp may vary from the stock image. The dull gum stamps may have setoff (offset) transfer on the backs from the booklet cover. Untagged mint Bureau precancels are sold separately when available. Experimental dull gum stamps were released in 1971 to prevent sticking in humid climates.
