Tap handles are one of those collectibles that we keep finding ourselves acquiring. The beer promotional industry does a fantastic job of marketing its products with all kinds of advertising pieces. What's really cool about tap handles is that they are usually very artistic and stylish. Each one is like a sculpture of its own that can become the perfect adornment to your kegerator setup. With so many different styles, colors, shapes, sizes and concepts, they wind up being a really interesting collection to display as a whole. This lemon yellow and light blue tap handle just makes you think of summer. The topper looks like a lollipop and bears the script Brooklyn Brewery "B" logo in orange. "Brooklyn Summer Ale" is written down the stick on 4 sides. The entire handle, except for the gold-toned metal threaded bottom, is porcelain which makes it a bit heavier than its wood or plastic counterparts. It also gves it a super smooth texture. As you can see in the photos, there are some surface cracks near the top, none of which are impacting its structural integrity. It does not appear that this has been repaired, it just looks like it took a shot. If you wanted to, you could probably touch it up without too much difficulty. It is otherwise in pretty much perfect condition. This tap handle measures 12.5" tall, has a topper that is 2.75" wide, and the stick tapers from 2.25" wide to 1" at the bottom. It takes the standard size tap thread. This stick has gotten a fair amount of use judging by its condition. It has an overall good appearance, but there are defintely blemishes and marks on it. Review the photos to understand the condition. There is one ornamental rivet missing on the spiral part of the topper.
