Description: 1 x Shepard Fairey OBEY GIANT two sides of capitalism bank note. I picked this up at Fairey's Ninteeeneightyfouria show in East London in 2007, where Shepard Fairey was in attendance. In London in November 2007 at Stolenspace, the Nineteeneightyfouria show comprised a range of artworks, mostly awesome in scale, with an overt reference to the surveillance culture of Orwell's 1984. Many regard Shepard Fairey as one of the godfathers of the modern urban art scene and he's widely known as one of the hardest working men in the business. His Obey Andre the Giant figure can be found all over the world, oftentimes in some surprising locales. Unique stencil, collage, photography and painting techniques have made him one of the worlds most well-known street artists. There is a tiny little mark top right of the note. Barely noticeable but I wanted to mention it - see photos.
