Description: This vintage Drey Mason jar and the dark amber brown jar are items worth adding to your collection. Made in the United States in the 1890s-1900s, it features a clear and dark amber color and holds up to a quart of volume. The clear brand is Drey. The other is unknown to me and has no lid. From my information received from current owner, these were removed from a hand dug root cellar under the two story home that was built on a pier and beam foundation in 1890 in Sistersville WV. The home has gone through recent remodel and updates, which many items were salvaged or found during the process. I know that the Drey jar was made between 1917 and 1920s before Ball bought out Drey. It is in excellent original condition with no chips or cracks. It is the Improved Ever Seal jar. The dark amber brown jar has no identifying marks other than the 2 on its bottom. It also is in excellent original condition without lid. I believe it to be much older than the Drey, but by how much ? I noticed that the clear Drey lid fits it perfectly. Please check the pic's closely and any info would be greatly appreciated. This improved ever seal jar and dark amber jar is a must-have for collectors of old mason jars. Its unique design and history make it a valuable addition to any collection. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of American history. Thanks for looking.
