Description: 1897 Queen Victoria's one shilling commenorative enameled pendant.The face of the coin features a golden portrait of Victoria against an enameled blue/black background. As the coin moves under the light what appears to be black turns blue, very striking against the gold work of the portrait. The reverse is the queen's coat of arms, featuring symbols of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in red, blue and green surrounded by the banner that bears the motto of the Order of the Garter - "Honi Soit qui mal y pense". Encased in a glass bezel and held by a silver ring of .925 metal. Hallmark on silver bezel says AJ anchor/lion/W. Birmingham hallmark. Selling it with .925 chain. Pendant weighs 8.5g. Chain 4g. Total 12.5 g. Included with box and note from Queen victoria 1977 ( signed by staff). Note measures 2 3/4 X 2 1/8 inches. Chain is 22"
