To avoid image flickering, the switching voltage must be at least 40Hz. It should be borne in mind that the visible luminescence of the segment when the voltage is applied to the grid occurs at a positive potential of the anode-segment of about 2.5-5.0V. In order to avoid possible illumination, the potential value at the anode segment should not exceed 1.5-2.0V. To completely remove the glow of the elements of the anodes-segments when the voltage is applied to them, it is necessary to apply a locking negative potential of 2.5 to 5.0V to the grid.
