His bother Richard Timothy Kinney was born in 1916 in Utah. John attended John C. Fremont High School where he met Roy Williams who both on the Football team. Jack and Roy both joined Walt Disney Studio in 1931. Jack started as an inker for the franchises Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphony. In 1940 he became a Director. Jack worked for Disney for 27 years, he was joined by his brother Richard. He has over 100Disney films including Dumbo, Pinocchio, The Three Caballeros, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and many short sand specials. In 1954 to 1957 he formed a new company with Hal Adelquist also from Disney named Kinney-Adelquist Productions, Inc. producing 1001 Arabian Nights and Mr. Magoo. From 1960 – 1961 he partnered with Dick Kenney to create Popeye the Sailor and The New Three Stooges for King Features Syndicate. From 1978 – 1982 he worked with Hanna Barbera on Scooby-Doo and Scrappy Doo and The Scooby & Scappy-Doo / Puppy Hour. Jack Kinney was married twice Eva Jane Sinclair Kinney 1945 – 1992 Children 0 Virgina Schulte 1935 - ? Children 3 He died February 9 1992 aged 82 in Glendale California Homer Brightman Bio 1901 – 1988 American Born in Seattle, Washington, Homer Brightman writer (147credits), director (1 credit), story artist and animator. He joined Disney Studio in 1935. During those15 years often call the “Golden Age of Disney Animation “ and he worked on the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and Oscar winning short “Lend a Paw” as well as many more. After Disney he worked for Walter Lantz Production, MGM cartoon studio, UPA and the other top Animation houses of the time. The list of films are to long to name but his hands were in on the most memorable animation of the time. From Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chilly Willy and the popular, Woody Woodpecker. He also published (under Disney nameplate) many books including Mary Poppins, Uncle Scrooge. His book” Life in the Mouse House” was published after his death to protect his fellow Disney co-workers.
