Sacagawea Dollars 2000-PresentThese coins had the same design with a soaring eagle on the back from 2000-2008. Any after 2001 are fairly rare and were not intended for circulation. There are also error coins that are missing the edge lettering.In 2009 the reserve of Sacagaweas began to have a native American theme and the design started changing every year.
